The Journey Begins


Thanks for joining me! Today, I begin a new blog as I count down the days until my second trip to Paris.

T minus 100 days until Paris…

I spent almost a month in Hérisson, France (163 mi/262 km south of Paris in the Allier-Auvergne region) as an international project volunteer.


Back then, I was a rose-colored-glasses-wearing-22-year-old-college student majoring in international relations and French, who had big dreams of making a difference in the world. While I still don’t know if I’ve made any difference in the world, I keep trying every day. But what hasn’t changed over the years is my love of all things French. Now, let’s fast-forward to today, 22 years later, and I am beyond ecstatic that I will be visiting the City of Light once again.
