Wednesday Postcard: New York City

my cousin sent me this postcard in 2010

Bonjour! This week’s carte postale features Times Square in New York City.

The city is made up of five boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, and Staten Island. According to NYCgo: the official guide to NYC, there are over 8.5 million residents!

Did you know: the Statue of Liberty, a gift of friendship from France and widely known as a symbol of New York, is actually physically closer to New Jersey!

Today (September 11) is Patriot Day in the United States

9/11 Gallery at the Newseum in Washington, DC

Patriot Day is observed on September 11 in the United States to remember the people who died or were injured at the World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan, the Pentagon in Washington, DC, and Shanksville, Pennsylvania on this day in 2001.

Never Forget 9/11 🇺🇸
