I visited this bookstore and found it old school and charming.

I like its hardwood floors and the peace and quiet in the poetry room upstairs 👍🏼

Heard about this place in an article by Hunter S Thompson, will have to visit when I’m in SF 👌

Yes, it’s a must when visiting SF! In 1994, Mr. Thompson was quoted as saying, “I never would have become a writer were it not for On the Road (by Jack Kerouac).” If you’re interested, you might also want to visit the Beat Museum, which is a short walk away from City Lights 👍🏼
