  • The fountain is also known as Fontaine des trois ordres
  • It was completed by Henri Ding in 1897, nine years after the 100th anniversary of the pre-revolutionary events of 1788
  • Fun fact: The liqueur of Chartreuse is distilled by the monks of La Grande Chartreuse, located near Grenoble.
