Bonjour! This week’s carte postale comes from Évian-les-Bains, a spa town on the shores of Lake Geneva.
Located in the northern part of the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in southeast-central France, this area is the source of the popular Evian natural spring water.
This postcard is undated, but looking at the cars in the photos, it appears to be from the 1950s.

Until the next Wednesday Postcard, take care. A bientôt!

I may have mentioned this before, but every time I see someone drinking Evian mineral water I recall that Evian is naïve spelled backwards.

Haven’t been, but I’ve heard of Evian-les-Bains. Looks like I’ll have to visit more of the Auverge-Rhône-Alpes region (particularly places closer to Switzerland) some day!

I hear ya. I imagine it’d be relaxing to spend a day in Evian, followed by a ferry boat ride on Lake Geneva to see both France and Switzerland!
