Bonjour (or should I say meuh) !
This week’s carte postale features an old farm in the village of Le Chauffaud. It’s located near the Swiss border, in the Doubs department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region in eastern France.
In this undated postcard, dairy cows graze and enjoy the sunshine in front of the vieille ferme!
- Built in 1777, the farm was called “Sur la Roche”
- It’s now an historic monument
- Since 1983, it’s been operating as a hotel called Auberge Sur la Roche*
Until the next Wednesday Postcard, stay safe! 🐮

I almost expect to see a French Heidi walking into the pic 😉

How bucolic! It’s true that the countryside becomes lush with snow-capped mountains, the closer you venture towards the French-Swiss border. This photo reminds me of the cows I saw during a hike around Chambéry a couple of years ago. Really lovely! ❤
