This is my response to the daily WordPress prompt: What is your middle name? Does it carry any special meaning/significance?
What is your middle name? Does it carry any special meaning/significance?
My middle names both start with the letter C, but for efficiency, I say my middle name is the letter C only! There’s no dot, no period, no full point, no full stop after it. It’s not official, but that’s how I stylize it.
Apart from my actual middle names, these are some of the things I believe C stands for because they are true parts of who I am.
California. My home state.
Calligraphy. I’m pleased to see the visual art of beautiful script handwriting trendy again. I enjoy addressing event invitations, envelopes, and place cards in calligraphy. When I worked as a conference assistant in college, I used calligraphy to make directional signs.
Calm. This word has been used to describe me. When I was younger, I used to take offense to it. I felt like I was being judged as boring, apathetic or low energy. These days, I wear the calm label as a badge of honor. In this chaotic world of ours that can be full of drama at times, I am pleased to be that calm friend of yours.
Catherine. Confession: I’ve always been jealous of my favorite cousin because this is her first name (spelled slightly differently.) When asked to pick out a French name to use in my high school French 1 class, I was thrilled: je me suis appelée Catherine !
Chocolate. It is my favorite food group. (What? It’s not a food group, you say? It should be!)
Confirmed Catholic. Most Catholics receive the sacrament of Confirmation in the 8th grade, or age 13-14. In my case, I was confirmed as an adult after attending seven weeks of evening confirmation classes. About a year later, I stopped going to church as it was revealed that Catholic Church clergy were involved in countless atrocious crimes. Needless to say, I’ve become a Conflicted Catholic.

Content Creator/Creative. I’ve always enjoyed making things. When I’m not writing, I like baking, cooking, or building LEGO sets. Assembling IKEA furniture is fun, too! I like seeing a physical representation of the intangible time spent creating the end product.
Curious. I figure if I stay curious, then I’ll never stop learning – my motto in life!
Tell me in the comments below: Do you have a middle name? If so, what do you think of it?
I love the way you have responded to the daily prompt! My middle name begins with a C – Christine. I don’t like it particularly and I never use it 😂

Funny enough, my middle name starts with a C! I think having a middle name like “Chocolate” would be great (and delicious)! 😋
