Happy Independence Day!🇺🇸

The island city of Alameda may be small (land area is about 11 square miles), but it boasts the longest 4th of July parade in the nation with a route that spans 3.3 miles, attracting more than 170 entries and 2,500 participants. The parade draws over 60,000 spectators from the San Francisco Bay Area.

Here are a few of my favorites from today’s 4th of July Parade in Alameda.

Frank Bette Center for the Arts
Alameda Theatre & Cineplex and Cinema Grill
International Chi Institute, Kung Fu School
propeller truck float by Bay Ship & Yacht Co.
Boys Scouts Alameda Troop 73
street cleaning trucks signal the end of the parade (until next year!)

Have a happy and safe 4th! 🎆 🇺🇸 🌭
