The famous Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris reopened over the weekend (December 7-8, 2024) after more than five years of extensive repairs and restoration due to the April 2019 fire.

Thanks for sharing all of these videos, Darlene! I heard about the Notre Dame reopening this past weekend, and it’s been a long time coming! I’ve seen the Notre Dame before and after the destruction, and now I’ll need to return to Paris to see it beautifully-restored! 🙂

I look forward to visiting the restored Notre-Dame of the modern world, too. I heard they’re using QR codes now to enter – a major technological advancement from the cathedral’s medieval beginnings as shown in the France Channel documentaries!
