TGIF: Thank Goodness it’s Fry-day! July 13 is National Fry Day!

Commonly known as French fries, did you know that the beloved deep fried potato snacks aren’t even French?! They’re originally from Belgium and usually dipped in mayonnaise. Legend says that they were attributed to France, in error, and that’s how “French fries” became a thing.

There are hundreds of ways to enjoy fries! For instance, in the Philippines, fries are eaten with banana ketchup. In Canada, they are often served with gravy and cheese curds to make poutine. Some people like to dip their fries in a milkshake!
