Bonjour! This week’s carte postale comes from Arcachon, a seaside resort in the Gironde department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in southwestern France.
Top: Arcachon beaches
Bottom left: The Thiers Jetty (La Jetée Thiers). Built in 1903, it’s the center of Arcachon’s nautical festivals.
Bottom right: The old Moorish Casino (Le Casino Mauresque). Built in 1863 in Parc Mauresque, the upper part was entirely inspired by the Mosque of Córdoba in Spain. In 1977, the Casino Mauresque was destroyed by fire. It was transformed into an arboretum in 1992.

Until the next Wednesday Postcard, à bientôt!
You have so many postcards of places I haven’t been to in France, despite living there for four years. Arcachon looks fantastic, and I’d love to discover more of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region for that.
